Its only January... and yet here are 5 fantastic vapor-adjacent projects that really clicked with me. Vaporwave 2025 so good already.

This one might not be for everyone. But the homie limousine has blessed the internet with another Wrestling Wave album. My favorite thing about wrestling wave is when he played it really loud at flamingo fest. Good times.

Beautiful ambient album from a powerhouse in the scene. This project is great for slowing down. Very great and powerful stuff here. Plus it looks like there are CD's on the website which is awesome.

104 tracks of vaporwave and vapor-adjacent music. A supergroup of about 77 artists have come together and released an album under one name, with all proceeds going to mental health and drug recovery. There are some big names in the vapor world on that lineup, including telepath and infinity frequencies. And they are selling 6xCassette boxes that look fantastic. What a great project. Using music as a tool to build a positive future.

NEXT ON THE LIST
This album is a classic style late-nite-lofi project from 4 talented creators. Contains fantastic sampling and curates the exact vibe we all hope to feel from a good latenite vaporwave album.
my favorite track on this record is the very first one, "chilled to perfection"
this sample free, multi-genre electronic album hits deep. this artist, who has expressed his recent personal issues on twitter, has gifted us with a new project. It is great! I wish this artist the best going foreword.

"Memory Eternal is what is said at Greek funeral services (Αιώνια Μνήμη). We all don't know how much time we have left, especially myself, so this album is a reminiscence on my appreciation and gratitude towards life. There will be more versions of Memory Eternal that are coming up this year - one album every month until I can't make any more music. The picture above is of me as a kid -- I loved elementary school, playing games, imagination, swimming, etc. Songs contain vaporwave sounds (no samples though), some rock, some hip hop, ambient, and all sorts of electronic sounds.
Many of these songs many appear on a future video game that is still in production.

This project is classic style vapor with glitchy/bitcrushed elements throughout. I found out about this album from the label Sunset Grid, and i am thankful that they provided bandcamp followers with codes to download this album for free. love to see it!

This signalwave style project is put on tape by the label midnight frequency. This album has a nostalgia feel with that dark-ambient glow. Very cool project that will surely sound perfect on your old tape player. This was my first encounter with this artist, and since discovery of this project I have listened to several more albums from them. Including the side projects on bandcamp titled "forgetting"

I love signalwave music, and i have found a lot of projects in the genre through the signalwave discord, other blogs, and just searching bandcamp.

by Golden Astrobe This album is a sample based project that delicately balances between "slushwave" and "barber beats" in genre. These tunes are chill, slowed, and perfectly reverberated to scratch that vaporwave itch. The bandcamp description includes a list of free download codes for the album, as well as a full sample list, something very rare in the barber beats community. Love to see it!

A compilation album full of music by 天堂山 (Paradise Mountain), a sample-based slushwave alias of desert sand feels warm at night exploring longform ethereal soundscapes.
This music was originally uploaded on the Hallworth Collective bandcamp between 2022-2024.
From the bandcamp description, "天堂山 was created on the Hallworth Collective as part of its 2022 revival, a page dedicated to experimental projects, ideas and one-off albums from desert sand and a few close friends"
The existence of this collective / alias was news to me, a long time fan of DSFWAN. How could i be upset, I thought i had heard everything from that artist, and now i have so much new music to check out. Yay love it love it so much

this album is a noisy journey through ocean themed eccojams. I really enjoyed it, and i am thankful that the artist shared it with me! They also posted bandcamp codes so i could download this project for free. Vaporwave community so powerful sometimes #onelove
my favorite track from this album (love the song titles on this one) is "Muffled Argument Below Deck"
which blesses the listener with a break from the more ambient vapornoise/signalwave vibes, using a heavy, distorted beat. great project, not a relaxing vaporwave vibe, but still worth a listen. we need more creative lofi works like this in the scene. so cool

a new dungeon synth project from Pictureplane . for now this is just a single track, but it is great. i will update this when the whole album drops but this is worth checking out. very cool very very cool.

THE FIRST TELEPATH ALBUM IN 10 YEARS? WOW!
this was worth the wait. i dont feel like there is much to say about this other than you should listen to it. it rings of that classic telepath style vapor/slushwave that many vaporwave fans enjoy. This is the first official new telepath album to come out since i started listening to vaporwave in 2019, so it is kind of special to me. It doesnt feel like i missed out on that era anymore. The king is back.

the 7th in the "nautilus" series. this album is awesome. it keeps the same energy as the 6 previous albums. Nostalgia electronica, with a video game feel. I personally own the first 5 albums in this series on physical format and play them often. This newest number from MSFS has scratched that itch. This album is full of lofi, vaporwave, downtempo beats. Very cool!

this is a "late night lofi" album from one of the masters of "late night lofi"
and it hits, perfect for driving around the city at night, or for lovemaking
I feel like i recognized 1 or 2 samples from this one, but thats ok. This project is consistent in vibe and in style. Music that belongs on cd format in my opinion.
very accessible music. With some vaporwave you feel like you cant play it out loud in front of your elderly parents or grandparents. But not this album, your grandparents will probably love this album. and deep down they might respect you more knowing that you aren't listening to that "screamo" junk anymore. i could also see this album being played at the shared air bnb you and your friends rented to go snowboarding at that new resort. snow day afterparty in the air bnb or whatever. love this album

This one is awesome. its a noisy, electronic sound-collage showcasing a sample pack being sold by the artist. this album is great advertising, because fire-toolz created a textured, full-body experience to show listeners what is possible with the sounds from the sample packs available. my favorite track: SPoReS

love the album art on this one. It looks like telepath is back in full swing releasing another full length classic-slushwave album just one month after his "comeback" album previously mentioned on this list.
the feel of this album is positive, light, and playful. in general less haunted than last months album. I really respect and admire the label Geometric Lullaby for putting this style music on vinyl and sometimes cassette. I have met the people behind this label a few times and it seemed like they are good hearted and community driven. This album is happy. Summer is almost here!

A new sample free slushwave adventure from the multi-genre master known as VANITAS命死.
this album is beautiful, full of reverberated sounds and downtempo beats, but with a mostly uplifting and positive feel. I really enjoyed this album and it is going in my slushwave playlist forever
